August 22- Abe’s Amble 2010

What do you get when you mix a 10K with some hills and top it off with several hundred runners? That would be Abe’s Amble 2010.

Registration is now open through GetMeRegistered for Abe’s Amble 2010. Make plans now to join us on August 22, 2010 at 7:30 AM at the Illinois State Fairgrounds for the Springfield Road Runners Club premiere road race.

  • $20.00 Early Registration through Sunday July 11, 2010 at 11:59pm CST
  • $25.00 late registration (7/12/2010 through 8/19/2010 at 11:59pm CST)
  • $30.00 August 21 (packet pick-up) and Race Day registration (from 6:15 AM – 7:00 AM at the Bud Tent)

Packet pick-up will once again be at the Prairie Heart Institue (619 E. Mason, Springfield, IL 62701) from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 21. Packets may also be picked up on Race Day from 6:15 AM – 7:15 AM at the Bud Tent.

  3. The course is an open course at 9:00am which means there is no safety patrol and participants should move to the sidewalk. It is expected that most participants will finish the course in 2 hours.

    Does anyone know if/when the Advanced Abe’s program that usually trains for Shoreline will start up this year? We had a few members of our Abe’s Army group asking about continued opportunities for group runs, and I was wanting to pass along the info to them. Thanks!
