  1. This is all that is standing between me and the Triple Crown – when can we get some details on this race?

  2. Hi. Do I need to fill out a form to be considered for the Triple Crown? As with Melissa, I just have to run the Frostbite to be qualified for the Triple Crown:)

  3. Why does this race do a windvest instead of a shirt? I proudly wear my shirts from other endurance events. Haven’t ever worn a windvest. Why no finishers medal? It’s harder than any half-marathon or biathlon I’ve ever completed. I always get a medal for those.

  4. No form needs to be filled out for the Triple Crown. We just need your email address, which you can send by going to the “Bound 4 Triple Crown” Facebook page. We will be checking finishing times for all 3 races to make sure they were completed.

  5. Runner McGee says:

Diane, if you don’t like the idea of a windvest and no finisher’s medal, don’t run the race. Or step up and direct the race.

  6. Are there porta potties along the way of the frostbite 10 mile run?

  7. How can we learn more about the 10 mile course? We’ve never run this event but would consider it if we could check out the course ahead of time. Thanks

  8. The getmeregistered page says we get a sweatshirt with registration and this says the vest. Which is it? A sweatshirt would be really cool. I can’t wear the vest I got last year because it was way too big.

  9. want to run but want to see a map before hand to scope it out

  10. Runner McGee says:

Check out this link on the website. It’s the course.

  11. The turnaround point is 42.5 feet east of the utility pole, and is painted. It’s in line with the 2nd fence post east of the pole, and the fence post is painted as well.

  12. I emailed Linda Jones to ask about the shirt. She replied “The correct information is listed on the website. The shirt will be a crew neck sweatshirt. I do not have a picture of it at present. It will be royal blue with white print with the logo on the upper left breast and the sponsor logos on one sleeve.”

  13. Will we be able to register for the race on Friday at packet pickup? Or race day registration? I see where it says $30 to register until Dec 1, what is the cost after that?

  14. Tara Hoskinson says:

The weekend before Thanksgiving, while training, I ended up w/ Patellofemoral Tendonitis. Xrays were fine, but knee locks when I am on it for a long period of time. Although it’s feeling better, I’ve now been blessed w/ a Sinus Infection that’s taken residency in my chest. That being said, I will not be racing this weekend. Are volunteers still needed? I emailed Linda JOnes, but haven’t heard back. If not, I’ll be there to cheer on all of my fellow runners (I plan to feel better by then). Best of luck to you all!!

  15. Hi Tara we still need volunteers please contact Jan Wilson at

  16. Tara Hoskinson says:

@Madalyn, thanks for the info, spoke to Jan and I think she wants me to help you (unless there is another Madalyn) w/ inside stuff. It’s my first time to help at a race so if you can keep your eyes open for me I’d greatly appreciate it. No idea what I’ll be wearing, but I’ll have short brown hair and look completely lost. Thanks again.

  17. Gary House says:

Since we are coming from 100 miles away, we will be watching the weather. What is the cost for race day registration?

  18. ill have coffee and doughnuts at mile 3.5!!!

  19. Seth Engelbrecht says:

I still haven’t seen an answer on whether there will be race day registration or the cost. Does anyone know if we can register on the day of the race?

  20. @Gary, did you find out the cost for race day reg? If you email Jan Wilson at the above post11/29/11, she’s good at getting back to you.

  21. Seth Engelbrecht says:

I just got an email. Race day registration is $35 from 7:30-8:30.

  22. Jeannie McCartney says:

sweatshirt and above freezing forecast???? Count me in! See ya in the morning!

  23. Any chance you will transfer a registration due to injury? Just checking–I can’t find anything that says non-transferable.

  24. oh crap – thats today?

  25. brrrrr!!!

  26. brrrrr that wind sucked!!!

  27. Kim Russell says:

Linda and all you that planned the race you did a great job. Loved the sub sandwiches after.

  28. Len Rideout says:

    Linda and race volunteers,

Thanks for a great event. It’s only my second frostbite. The challenging course makes this race unique.

  29. Jan Wilson says:

Thanks to everyone who volunteered. You’re a GREAT bunch. Runners/walkers, let me say that I know it’s cold for you out there on the course, but these great people that virtually stand on one spot for over two hours need to be applauded over and over again. It’s one thing to be hot, but to be cold, HS, that’s really uncomfortable.

    Thanks again, Frost Bite volunteers.

  30. Seth Engelbrecht says:

Does anyone know when the results will be posted on the website? I had to leave right after I finished, so I wasn’t able to see them.

  31. Paula Ryan says:

Jan, couldn’t have said it better, I said to my running partner Randy-“I would hate to be those people just standing there more than once.” I was in pain running-but knew it would be worse just standing there! thanks for ALL who volunteered. My favorite race of the year…because I hate to sweat!

  32. Thanks to the event coordinators and all of the volunteers for making this a unique race…… challenging, but satisfying!

  33. Looks like the results are posted:

Good job everyone! I’ve volunteered on the course for the last two years and seeing all of you out there makes me want to join you!

  34. mike wendel says:

thanks to all you volunteers!! really appreciate you !

  35. Thank you to the race director and all the volunteers for a great event! Tough course, but a person definitely feels accomplished when they finish it! 🙂

  36. Brian Reardon says:
  37. I had a great time at the Frost Bite 10 mile. I especially want to thank the organizers of the event and of the Triple Crown Challenge. I was determined to complete this challenge even if it killed me. BUT I DID IT!!!! WOOOO HOOOO!! All I have to say negative about the race is DAMN THOSE HILLS!
On a more sour note, I would like to express to the Pinhead that stole my 13.1 oval magnet off the back of my car, I hope you enjoy it. And if you haven’t ran a half marathon, congratulations for being a “Poser”.

Once again Thanks for the great time at this event. See you next year.

  38. Just tried to sign up for the Frostbite. It says you can register Dec 1 by midnight. However, the GetMeRegistered site states the registration is closed. Is there another way to sign up. My husband wanted to do the triple crown and now I can’t get either one of us signed up.
