Suzi - For 2009 there will not be a shorter distance race offered, only the 10k run (although walkers are welcome!).

Hi Marilyn -
Since the AMA is no longer an SRRC points race, the results won't appear on the SRRC site. However, you can view results at HardyBreed. Thanks!

Have the SRRC points been posted yet? If so, how/where do I access them?
Thanks--Sandy

The BGH half marathon in Quincy is a good one. There are 2 hills (river bluffs) to climb within the first 3-4 miles but beyond that it is flat. Out and back along the river frontage road. Early on the route takes you over the Mississippi into Missouri on the old bridge and back on the new one. Well organized, good shirts and affordable. Oh and the race proceeds benefit a good cause.

There are usually a couple of groups that train over the summer for Chicago every year. Nothing too formal, but it's nice to have a group to train with. There is a thread started over in the forum for Chicago (so far just two people but that will pick up as the date gets closer). You might post your interest in there.

Is there a local training group for the Chicago Marathon in October? I'd like to train with people, rather than alone.
