Registration is now open for the challenging Frostbite Premier Winter Road Race. A ten-mile out-and-back course starts at FitClub West and heads out into the country via West Washington Street. Significant hills plus uncertain weather make this a tough and memorable course.

The two-mile race follows the longer course, with a turnaround on Washington Street.

Great Race and well organized. It’s a shame the fee for the 2 mile was $35. Our son ran the 10 mile but other family members would have run the 2 mile if it weren’t for the high fee. We would have gladly paid $15 without a shirt and signed up 3 other family members. We simply can’t afford $140 for the entire family, but we were all glad to be there to cheer on our son. Seems to us if the fee for the 2 mile were lower you would have a lot more runners and more total revenue…just a thought! Our son really enjoyed the 10 mile; it was his first. Thanks to all who organized this event and please think about a lower fee with no shirt for the 2 mile next year.

Thanks for all the comments and emails about the Frostbite. I am a winter junkie and glad to have the opportunity to challenge everyone with our course and the frosty weather. I appreciate everyone’s interest and patience to get correct times and understand that this is a priority for racers! We will definitely improve to get correct printing and posting in the future. The correct information in a format you can read is now published at http://www.onlineraceresults.com
For anyone who did not receive their award, they will be available starting Tuesday at The Running Center.
Thanks for everyone who participated in our race and this is a great opportunity to thank our many sponsors and volunteers who helped support this race!

    Linda,

Do you know where there there are more pictures of the race? Hardy breed had a large amount but I couldn’t find either of the groups that we were running with so I thought someone else had a camera as well.

    Thanks,
    Kimee

I can’t get to the SRRC kodak gallery site. Could someone confirm the correct link? Thanks !!

  17. Andreas says:

    A great, well organized race!

I would support Dee’s thoughts on the fee structure, though. $30 for a nice 10miler isn’t so bad for an individual. But if you have a family of 4 or 5, it does become a little price sensitive, especially for the shorter “fun run” distances. A youth or family discount and/or a no-shirt option may as well be worth considering.

Don’t get me wrong – I like the shirt. It’s one that I actually have use for because I haven’t had one for the colder season yet. But I have always been wondering, for those who run more frequently and probably own a more or less complete set of running apparal … how many race shirts do you really need in your closet?

Sure when you organize an event of this size, you don’t want to make it too complicated. Just a thought …

Thanks again for a great race and all the volunteers and supporters hanging in there in the cold.

  18. Thanks for the excellent work of race director’s Linda Jones and Nancy Sutzer!
Thanks to the big crew of wonderful volunteers, expert advisors and “talent” who braved the cold for a great event!
Thanks to the almost 400 registrants/participants, you made it terrific and we appreciate you for coming out, nice accomplishment!
Thanks for the work of Linda Jones and her assistants who successfully timed the club’s first independantly tag timed event with its new equipment!
Thanks to our wonderful sponsors enabling us to put on such nice events!
This was a wonderful way to round out an excellent season of racing for the SRRC!
My sincere thanks to all! See you at Monster Mash!

The SRRC Kodak Gallery site is no more. The club is switching to a Flickr account, but I have not set that up yet. Will try to get that up and running soon. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi, I just checked the race results for the Frostbite Festival 2M run and I noticed my name was listed in number 4 position, is there a ribbon for 4th place or just the top 3 in each age group. I am new to running and wasnt sure how this worked. Thank you and also I had a great time at the very well organized race. It was a great day.

    Nancy S

  21. Nancy Sutzer says:

Yes, the awards go to the first three in each age group but you should be very proud to have come in 4th place, especially since you haven’t been running very long. Congratulations.

  22. suzi boyd says:

Where can I find the results and times of each runner in the Frostbite, please?

  23. Nancy Sutzer says:

    The results are at http://www.onlineraceresults.com
