I’m assuming that the race shirt is unisex, but is the material cotton or technical? This will make a difference in the size I select.

Is there a 5k or 10k that is run as part of the Lincoln Half Marathon festivities, I see none mentioned on the website? Or is the 1/2 marathon the only run available?

I know on the Halfwits blog they will be starting training on the 21st. I have not seen if they have the “x2″ part figured into their plans or not. However, we have a group of about a dozen of us that are training for the Illinois Marathon on April 28th. This will be the first marathon for over half of us. We have met the last couple Saturday mornings and plan to continue that. We have a group page on Facebook “The Illinois Marathon Marvels.” Feel free to check it out and join us for some runs.

I had a great time at the Frost Bite 10 mile. I especially want to thank the organizers of the event and of the Triple Crown Challenge. I was determined to complete this challenge even if it killed me. BUT I DID IT!!!! WOOOO HOOOO!! All I have to say negative about the race is DAMN THOSE HILLS!
On a more sour note, I would like to express to the Pinhead that stole my 13.1 oval magnet off the back of my car, I hope you enjoy it. And if you haven’t ran a half marathon, congratulations for being a “Poser”.

Once again Thanks for the great time at this event. See you next year.

Jan, couldn’t have said it better, I said to my running partner Randy-”I would hate to be those people just standing there more than once.” I was in pain running-but knew it would be worse just standing there! thanks for ALL who volunteered. My favorite race of the year…because I hate to sweat!
