Run thru the Prairie

Distances: 5K, 10K, 1 mile fun walk
Additional Info: Run through the beautiful short grass prairie in Centennial Park! 5K and 10K routes will be run on maintained grass paths throughout the park and prairie. The Friends of the Sangamon Valley (FOSV), a 501(c)(3) organization will use all funds locally to continue the education, preservation, protection and restoration of prairies, wetlands and woodlands in central Illinois. The run/walk will start at 8am, with dri-fit long sleeve t-shirt and packet pick up at 7am. There will be entertainment and food as well. Scrubs Run 5k Walk/Run

Memorial Transplant Services 5K Run/Walk

Memorial Transplant Services holds a 5K Run/Walk in September to raise funds to benefit our transplant funds which: Assist patients with transportation expenses related to doctor visits; Help provide lodging  for patients and their family members during pre-transplant workup, the period immediately following transplant surgery and during periods of treatment for rejection; Pay for prescription medication costs and/or co-pays; Support program development as well as education for patients and staff

This event is a wonderful opportunity for patients and donor families to come together and share their stories. 2nd Annual Belleville Main Street Marathon

Additional Info: Run a portion of America’s longest Main Street during this marathon-only race on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, in historic Belleville, IL, near downtown St. Louis. The course also includes paved trails and is a Boston Marathon qualifier with enthusiastic crowd support, for ONLY $65. All finishers will receive a medal, and all participants will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt among other goodies. Race amenities include ample water and fueling stations along the course; awards in numerous divisions; energetic volunteers and spectators; and free post-race food, beverages, and entertainment provided by local restaurants and businesses.
